Toray Textiles Europe Limited (TTEL), based in Mansfield, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toray Industries, Inc. (TORAY) of Japan and operates as part of its worldwide Fibres & Textiles division. The principal activity of the company is weaving, dyeing and finishing of synthetic fibre textiles for a diverse range of end uses including, military, medical, performance, print base, automotive, interiors and industrial.
Our 172,000smq site at Mansfield in the UK is the largest and most integrated synthetic textile production facility in Europe.
Toray Textiles opened their purpose-built facility in 1993 and employ over 180 personnel.
We have over 200 looms – including air, water and rapier looms- offering wide-width capabilities up to 3.6meters and production capacity of 20 million metres per annum.
The company’s advanced dyeing techniques, such as jet dyeing, jig dyeing and pad-on finish, align with its commitment to sustainability including PFAS free finish.
We offer a fully bespoke, inhouse colour matching service. We have been at the forefront of instrumental colour measurement for over 20 years and can match to colour space targets, Pantone references or physical samples.
