Our latest Anti-Microbial (Toray Safe) finishes are essential in the medical sector to assist with combating MRSA. Meeting European Standard EN 13795, they can be used for example in cubicle curtaining and bedding and clothing for medical and surgical staff.

ANTI-MICROBIAL
A visible Pure Silver product that has clinically proven to eliminate 99.9% of over 800
micro-organisms, including MRSA, in less than one hour of exposure.
A range of technical textiles engineered for use within the Health Care Sector to combat
the spread of Hospital Acquired Infections.
The properties of the inherent pure silver yarn work by the process of ionisation, which
effectively suffocates microbial activity.
Our products still require cleaning and should not be considered either as a replacement
or an alternative to good hygiene practices. However, they do provide the optimum level
of due diligence currently available against the proliferation of disease-causing bacteria
in a wide range of areas where there is potential for growth.
The anti-microbial agent in our fabrics is present and active for the life of the finished
product. It will not be washed out or rubbed off with repeated contact and does not inhibit
the flame retardant properties of the product.

ANTI-ODOUR
The silver yarn inhibits the growth of odour-producing bacteria. The silver ions also bind
with ammonia and denatured proteins resulting in odour reduction.

ANTI-FUNGAL
The silver yarn also inhibits the growth of fungus.

ANTI-STATIC
Silver is the most electrically conductive element. Two non-conductive materials rubbing
together normally create an electrical charge. These are instantly dissipated by the pure
silver yarn in our products, which, will remain static free and help the end user to remain
comfortable.
The static free product will not attract bacteria carrying lint or skin squamae.

THERMO-DYNAMIC
Besides eliminating bacteria and odours, silver is thermally the most conductive and
reflective element. Conduction, the primary cause of body heat loss in hot temperatures,
is accelerated due to the conductivity of the fibre.
Our products will help to regulate temperature. When used in sheeting, for example, it
will help to keep the body cool in warm climates and warm in cool climates.
